Pasta is not the only Italian dish which is perfect. There are several other desserts, mainly cakes that that Italy has perfected. Since we are big fans of desserts, we have decided to list down some of them. These are those cakes/sweets, which you must try when you are in Italy else if you spot them near your home. 1. Tiramisu: – Tiramisu was founded in the 1960s at an Italian restaurant in Treviso. This dessert contains of coffee and alcohol both. People think that it is easy to perfect the tiramisu, but once you taste the original one made in Italy, you will forget all the ones you ever had. Mixed with rich cream, chocolates, coffee, mascarpone and so much more, this delicious cake is worth it. If you are a coffee lover, you will enjoy eating this dessert.

2. Stollen Biscotti: – It kind of looks like a cake, but this dessert is different. Filled with the richness of dried fruits, spices, nuts and few other heavenly ingredients, this is a treat for dinners in Italy. You can have this during the tea or coffee time too.

3. Italian rum cake: – The Italian rum cake is quite popular and is found at many countries. You can find many boxed cake mixes of this recipe which is easy to make. So, if you cannot fly to Italy to have this delightful flavoured, cake then you can make it at all and send cake delivery to your loved ones too. Make sure you prepare the cake 12 hours in advance if you are sending it abroad.

4. Lemon & Honey semifreddo: – Like the interesting name, this dish is intriguing too. Semifreddo is a sliceable and fluffy ice cream, which is a staple found at every Italian restaurant. The soft texture of this dessert melts in the mouth and the combination of honey, orange marmalade, and lemon juice and lady fingers is interesting. This is dessert is a must try!

5. Mascarpone with dark chocolate cream: – This special mascarpone recipe is served in white chocolate cups. So, basically, you can eat the entire dessert including the container. You have to really plan if you want to bake this dessert because it is a little tedious to bake the entire dish perfectly. Certain ingredients involved in the process need to freeze properly while others would need time to cool down in the recipe procedure. Make sure you prepare this dessert in advance if you want to try making it at home. Other than this, if you eat this at a café or bakery in Italy, you will see there are tons of flavours added instead of dark chocolate cream. The original recipe includes dark chocolate cream, but there are many alternatives made to add to this recipe.
