Easy homemade Christmas Holiday cookies

Baking sessions are a great activity, whether enjoyed with family, friends or the kids. The homemade cookies are economical thus you can make loads of cookies with fewer burdens on the budget. Ingredients:

  • Cooking oil for greasing the tray
  • ½ cup chocolate chips
  • 200 grams dark chocolate (70% cocoa)
  • 50 grams mildly sweetened dark chocolate
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3 egg whites (medium eggs)
  • 2 cup caster sugar
  • 2 teaspoonscornstarch
  • 2-4 tablespoon of warm milk
  • Pinch of salt

Method:

  • Preheat the oven at 350 F. So that the oven is just ready when you are done with pre baking steps.
  • Put the chocolates and the chocolate chip in a glass bowl and melt them by double boiler method (put the water in a big pan and place it on the stove on medium to low speed. Then put the chocolate in another bowl and placed it in water. Reduce the flame to very low before the water starts boiling.)
  • Beat the egg whites on medium speed until the cream form is made. Now put half the sugar in it and beat until white soft cream is formed.
  • In another bowl, mix all the dry ingredients and add melted chocolate in it. Hard dough is formed. Now mix the egg white mixture in it. If you find the dough very hard add 2-4 tablespoon of milk in it.
  • Now make small balls of the dough and give them the shape of a cookie. Place on the baking tray. Bake them for 8-10 minutes.
  • Place them in the glass jar once cool. They can last for a month if placed in an airtight jar at room temperature and keeping away from the sun.
